Quality Lives Here.
Shine currently operates two licensed Innovations group homes, two licensed LTCS group homes, four licensed Alternative Family Living homes, and works with more than twenty unlicensed AFL providers. In addition, Shine operates a licensed day program and provides community-based services including supported employment, community networking, supported living, and transportation as authorized.
Services are designed to work together as part of a broader continuum of care, allowing individuals to receive support that aligns with their needs and goals over time. Shine recognizes that individuals may move between services as their circumstances change and works to support transitions thoughtfully and safely.
As an organization, Shine emphasizes structure, accountability, and clear communication. Leadership maintains oversight across all programs to ensure that supports are delivered consistently and in alignment with established standards.
Quality monitoring includes regular review of documentation, service plans, incident reports, medication administration records, and staff credentials. Leadership and compliance staff work collaboratively to ensure that documentation accurately reflects actual practice and that services are delivered in accordance with approved plans and authorizations.
Internal audits are conducted routinely to review medication administration, vehicle safety, staff documentation, and regulatory requirements. These audits help identify gaps early, support corrective action, and prevent recurring issues. When concerns are identified, follow-up actions are documented and monitored to ensure resolution.
Clinical oversight supports safe medication management, coordination with healthcare providers, and review of clinical needs. Medical information is reviewed regularly to ensure accuracy, continuity of care, and alignment with service plans.
Incident management is approached with consistency and transparency. Incidents are reviewed for immediate safety concerns, documentation accuracy, and follow-up actions. Patterns and trends are monitored to support system improvements and risk reduction.
Shine aligns its quality systems with CQL principles, emphasizing person-centered outcomes, strong organizational systems, and continuous improvement. Quality is viewed as an ongoing responsibility shared across leadership, staff, and support teams.
These systems support responsible growth by ensuring that new services, homes, and providers are integrated into existing oversight structures before expansion occurs.
